Cat of Bubastes #5

Chapter Five, Part A:

Chebron, Amuba and Jethro and Ameres are all going to go on a voyage. Ameres has a doubt that the flood gates will work properly this year so he is going down to see. He has a talk with Chebron. They discuss how the people in their city are doing, about the Israelites who live in the city they are about to see and the following day, after that talk, they go. It's wonderful as they go along; there are sights to see. And at night, Amuba sleeps with a reed pillow because he never gets used to the hard wood of the Egyptian pillows.

They stayed at a temple and Ameres was almost worshipped at that temple. And then, when they reached the point where they needed to go across the desert, Ameres rode in chariot, Chebron and Amuba rode in a wagon, and the rest of the party walked on foot.

I really like Amuba; his character is good. He keeps quiet about all the Egyptian religions which seem silly to him and he's very truthful to Chebron.
